Sisterhood Creations began over 10 years ago to assist children affected by poverty in the United States and around the world. The organization began servicing children after the founder Toni “Imani” Fisher was introduced to Nancy while traveling in Jamaica. Nancy, like a lot of children in the hills of Jamaica, lived in poverty and barely had money to eat let alone to buy a decent pair of shoes.
So, upon her return to America, Ms. Fisher founded Sisterhood Creations Inc., a non-profit organization headquartered in Houston. The organization began by collecting used shoes in the Houston area and donating them to children’s organizations in Montego Bay, Jamaica. This was the “Nikes for Nancy” mission. Sisterhood Creations believes that if each individual contributes to ending poverty, then children can grow up and have a chance no matter their socio-economic status.
Creating a change....one child at a time.
SUPPORT GLOBAL LITERACY
Books for Soweto, South Africa

Books for Montego Bay, Jamaica
Sisterhood Creations Children's Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children affected by poverty.
As the organization continued to grow, the WECARE mission developed. WECARE is an opportunity for individuals in the United States to share their resources by donating items that we take for granted, but which are extremely important to children around the world who are affected by poverty. These items include soap, toothbrushes, sanitary napkins, and school supplies.
In 2009 the organization is focusing on Global Literacy. As a Texas Certified Teacher, the founder realized that books which are no longer used in American classrooms could be recycled. More than 5000 of these books will be donated to South Africa in 2010.
Closer to home, Sisterhood Creations has worked for over 5 years in the Houston ISD providing African Dance and Drum instruction to young people. The organization seeks to provide a cultural exchange so that children can learn and appreciate the cultures around them. In addition the organization provides a summer program where students receive instruction in reading, writing, and math, as well as a variety of enrichment activities. Some areas in Houston offer these programs for $200 per week while Sisterhood Creations offers them at $50 per week with multiple family discounts. Some families pay as little as $25.00 weekly.

Sisterhood Creations continues to be a grass roots organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for one child at a time through classes, donations, trips, and cultural activities.
